After the events of Soul Piece, Chloe was nearly killed by her newly founded power. With every use, her body grows weaker and takes longer to heal.
To stabilize her power, her lover, Kael the Sandman, asks her if she is willing to bind her soul and power with him in a wedding-like ceremony.
After the binding ceremony, Chloe, and Kael along with others, travel to Earth in search of the Sons of the Mother, loyal servants of the dark mistress of the Nightmare Realm.
